Walking In And Around Mousehole

Mousehole is a geat starting point for walking. You can walk to Penzance or take the coast path all the way to Lands End or further.

Mousehole to Newlyn


Distance: 2 miles (4 miles return)
Difficulty: Easy

This walk has great sea views all the way to Newlyn. The walk follows the road from Mousehole to Newlyn. There are very few hills and the path is very good all the way.

The Penzance bus can be caught to get back to Mousehole.

 

Mousehole to Penzance


Distance: 3.1 miles (6.2 miles return)
Difficulty: Easy

This is the same as above but continues from Newlyn to Penzance. The walk follows the coast all the way to Penzance and is almost all flat. Starting from Mousehole, head to Newlyn on the road. Next to Newlyn Art Gallery there is a fisherman statue and from there a path to along the promenade to Penzance.

The bus from Penzance can be caught back to Mousehole.

 

Circular Walk: Mousehole to Lamorna Cove


Distance: 4.8 miles (8 miles return)
Difficulty: Moderate-strenuous

This walk starts from the bottom of Mousehole and leads up the hill on the road and then joins the coastal footpath to Lamorna Cove.

You can walk even further, all the way to Porthcurno, Lands End or Sennen Cove.
